July 3rd

July 4th is one of my favorite days of the year. This year was no different. We went to the traditional Kaysville Parade. Which, as Jeff (my father-in-law) put it, "A long line of advertisements." I mean really. There were only two real floats. The rest are people standing in trucks or cool cars advertising their business. But it still fun! It's just what we do every year :)
Then my sweet parents took me and Tay out to dinner. We tried a new mexican grill. Delicious...oh so much! Thanks Mom and Dad. Our last stop for the night was Oakridge Country Club. They had a big fancy dinner there (yes... I ate a little bit more) and then fireworks. It was so fun to be with family and watch them from a great spot.
How can I forget the surprise guest of the day! We were hanging out in Norton's backyard when their neighbor asked if we had seen their new pet. We went over to see what she was talking about. Well, there was a white peacock chillin' out in their tree! They found it that morning and it had stayed there all day. It was crackin' me up. Who finds a peacock in their backyard? Taylor tried to get it out of the tree without success.
::we just got an update. peacock has left the neighborhood. no one knows where::
